Forefront Garages & More works with homeowners and property owners around Superior and the surrounding parts of northwest Wisconsin. We handle projects from the first shovel of dirt to the last outlet cover, and we’re just as comfortable adding a detached garage to an existing lot as we are putting up a new house on bare land. Below is a plain description of what we do, and each service has its own page if you want more detail.
Most projects start with a drawing. Our Building Design Service helps you figure out what will actually fit on your lot, what it will take to meet local code, and how to get the layout you want without paying for space you won’t use. Once the plan is settled, Excavation and Site Preparation comes next: clearing, grading, digging footings, and making sure water runs away from the building instead of toward it. Doing this part right is the difference between a slab that lasts and one that cracks in a few winters.
From there we move into Concrete Work — footings, foundations, slabs, aprons, sidewalks, and driveway approaches. We pour for our own projects and for standalone jobs, and we pay attention to thickness, reinforcement, and drainage because Superior’s freeze-thaw cycle is hard on flatwork. After the concrete cures, framing begins. Our Carpentry covers structural framing, sheathing, siding, decks, interior trim, and the smaller finish details that make a building feel done rather than merely closed in.
Roof Truss Building is done in-house, so trusses can be built to the span and pitch a specific project calls for instead of forcing the design to match what’s available off the shelf. That flexibility matters on garages with attic storage, cabins with vaulted ceilings, and additions that need to tie into an existing roofline. Our Electrical Installation work follows, including service panels, subpanels, lighting, outlets, and wiring for heaters, compressors, or EV chargers, all inspected and permitted the way it should be.
We take on full Residential Building projects for people building a primary home, and Cabin Construction for those putting up something smaller near the lake or in the woods. ADU Construction has become a common request from owners who want a rental unit, a place for a parent, or a home office that isn’t in the spare bedroom. And Garage Construction remains a core part of what we do, from single-stall detached buildings to oversized shops with heated floors and finished interiors.
If you’re not sure which service your project falls under, call us and describe it. We’ll tell you what’s involved, what has to happen first, and whether it’s something we’re the right fit for.
